Tørrfluemoen: A fluffy Hare´s Ear Nymph – size 14. The upper pond is full of a creature I believe is called Asellus – a small, gray, pre-historic looking crustacean. I guess that´s why the fish grow so fat…
Tapani: Yes, it´s in the heart of Oslo allright!
I discovered this place through some urban fly fishing experiments I did some years ago after reading a great article by Alf Rønneberg and Lars Nilssen about the fishing in central Oslo.
I haven´t fished there for many years, and the fish seem to have grown since then…
The Pippi Langstrump guy: I don´t know. He happened to be playing in the park, and I just really dug the combination of the Swedish lyrics and the English accent. He´s a pretty good musician, too…
I also have to give credit to Roger Arntzen, bass player par excellence (In the Country, Chrome Hill, Ballrogg) and up-and-coming fly fisherman, who came with me on the first day and filmed the first part. I thanked him by mercilessly cutting him out of the film… Sorry, man!
PS! I heard that some people have had trouble streaming the video. That´s because it is in 1080p HD, and it takes a while to buffer it. Let it load for a couple of minutes, and it should work just fine. It also works to turn down the quality to 720p – (bottom right on the player).
Håvard,
Well done and great meeting you on Sunday! Generally, I like the blog and do hope that we can meet again for a concert or a fishing trip. Best,
Sylvain
Say no more..

Really nice Action, Fishing and Filming! Here in Hannover there’s a good River where I caught beautiful Graylings and Trout right in the City as well. Not my ideal, but really Special memories.
Cheers
Hi,

Jævlig bra Håvard. Mygglarver eller leptonymfer?
Really nice, cool to be able to fish trout so central and u got a fat one too 🙂
Peace
Well I knew that the fishing in Norway is good, but this is ridiculous… Is this really in the middle of Oslo?
Who´s the guy playing Pippi Langstrump in the end credits?
